Some pro-ish stuff...
It's not perfect according to industry standards, and I'm always in a continuous learning and improvement process. Among other things (like the over-simplified drawing, to my taste), the text hierarchy was hard to establish for me, as I'm not so great at typography yet... but it's something I actually very much love and am learning more about both at school and in my personal meanderings, so... yay. That being said, I'm pretty happy with this year's poster, for my hospital's Patient Safety Week. The mascot Doug (of my own creation), has become somewhat of an icon throughout the entire Institute, and people really enjoy him so that makes me really proud and happy. Again this year, we'll have a guy dressed up as him.
Anyway, that's that. Huzzah for being an underpaid artist, but who nevetheless gets her kicks. Hopefully I'll be as good as I'd like to be, someday! Here's another stepping stone.

I saw Mercredi and I was like, "SHIT WHICH ONE IS THAT AGAIN" and so I started singing "Lundi Mardi Mercredi, Lundi Vendredi Samedi, Dimanche" (shit my spelling!) like I learned in like, grade 2 french class. OY

wish the hospital i work at was this savvy with teh arts...looks really good! Bet you get a rush every time you see him or someone refers to him. Kudos!

Cool. I like the colors. What media are you working with?
And... err... IMHO, comics (like "Sergio Aragonés' Groo The Wanderer", or "Usagi Yojimbo") tend to show better application of typography, though it's referred to as lettering. :D
